Marketing is the part of building I'm worst at. I've said it before: you build the product, you get visitors, they don't sign up.
So I read October's marketing launches with a personal interest. In the first 18 days of the month, Junior picked up 20 of them from Product Hunt.
One theme took over the list. Five of the top ten, and seven of the top fourteen, are about the same thing: getting your brand mentioned when someone asks ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini or Perplexity for a recommendation.
Here are the ten with the most upvotes, what each does, and who it's for.
1. Articos MCP
338 upvotes, #1 on October 13
Most teams ship, then hope it lands. Articos lets you check first.
Inside Claude or ChatGPT, you run your headlines, positioning or pages past simulated buyers based on your actual customers, and see how they react before it goes out. They say it was validated against human research from Baymard and Nielsen Norman, and agrees with it 86% of the time.
Who it's for: founders and marketers who don't have the budget or the time for real user research on every headline.
The #1 marketing launch of the month so far, and the only one in the top five that isn't about AI search.
2. Omnia Agent
207 upvotes, #4 on October 1 · omniaagent.com
"The AI agent that does 95% of your GEO work."
GEO (generative engine optimization) means showing up in AI answers. Omnia finds the prompts where your competitors are winning, then works to win them for you. It plugs into the tools you already use, and every action you approve goes live without extra work.
Who it's for: brands that know they need to show up in AI search but don't want to hire a specialist.
3. Prefer
194 upvotes, #3 on October 3 · tryprefer.com
"AEO should not be another dashboard."
Prefer shows how ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Perplexity talk about your brand, finds where you're missing, and uses agents to take action on it. Their line: less reporting, more doing.
Who it's for: marketing teams that already have too many dashboards.
4. MentionBird
161 upvotes, #6 on October 13 · mentionbird.ai
"Ahrefs for AI search."
Their launch had the best pitch of the month. They took the top 3 Product Hunt launches and asked ChatGPT, Gemini and Claude the exact questions those products' buyers ask. Nine answers. Zero mentions.
Their explanation: AI answers pull from pages they trust, like listicles, Reddit threads, comparisons and YouTube. If you're not on those pages, you're not in the answer.
Who it's for: anyone who just launched and assumes being #1 on Product Hunt means people can find them.
5. Manifold MCP
161 upvotes, #5 on October 12 · manifoldmcp.com
Live marketing data for your AI agent, in one hosted MCP server for Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and Claude Code.
Find keywords one push from page one. See if ChatGPT and Gemini recommend you. Watch the TikToks winning your niche. Read your competitors' live ads. Catch Reddit threads asking for what you make.
Who it's for: solo founders and small teams who want one place to ask "what should I do this week?" and get an answer based on real data.
6. Proofsource
121 upvotes, #12 on October 7 · proofsource.co
When a buyer asks ChatGPT for the best tool in your category, it names five or six companies and stops. Proofsource shows whether you're one of them.
It asks your buyers' questions on ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews every day, shows who gets named instead and why, maps the pages AI trusts, and drafts the fixes. You approve, and their agents publish.
Who it's for: B2B companies in crowded categories.
7. Syllaby AI Avatar 2.0
112 upvotes, #12 on October 2
Turn a script or an idea into a full presenter-led video, with a realistic AI avatar, a natural voice, B-roll and subtitles. No actors.
Who it's for: creators and small businesses who need regular video and don't want to be on camera.
8. Lovable Growth Tools
100 upvotes, #12 on October 16
Lovable, the app builder, now helps you grow what you built.
Set a goal like "my first 100 signups" and get a launch playbook built from your app. Launch ads on Google Search, YouTube, Maps, Facebook and Instagram. Get found in Google and AI search with Semrush data. Create images, video and copy from your builds.
Who it's for: people who built an app on Lovable and are now stuck on "how do I get users?". I know that feeling.
9. Oogwai Beacon
87 upvotes, #14 on October 5
An answer engine optimization audit that asks the actual engines.
It puts unbranded buyer questions about your category to ChatGPT and Gemini (and Claude on the full audit), then shows how often you're named, who gets named instead, and which sources the engines trust. A separate check tells you whether AI crawlers can read your site at all. That one is instant, no sign-up.
Who it's for: anyone who wants a quick, free answer to "can AI even see my site?".
10. Vitra.ai
82 upvotes, #15 on October 1 · vitra.ai
A content platform that replaces, by their count, 12 tools. Create, translate and personalise video, images, docs and audio in 100+ languages. Dub with lip-sync, translate designs from Figma, Canva and Adobe, and resize every creative for every format.
Who it's for: global brands making the same campaign in many languages.
Three more worth a look
- LaunchReel (81 upvotes) is a Claude Code plugin that makes launch films and demos from your actual repo, plus talking-head reels from your raw recordings. Export 16:9 or 9:16, up to 4K.
- AdsNotch (63 upvotes) shows small ads in your Mac's screen notch and shares the ad revenue with you. Probably the strangest idea on the list.
- Ranks Hawk (46 upvotes) watches a competitor's domain: the keywords they're climbing on, every new page they publish, and their broken pages that other sites still link to.
What October is telling us
AI search is the new SEO, and everyone knows it.
Omnia, Prefer, MentionBird, Proofsource and Oogwai Beacon in the top ten. Manifold and Ranks Hawk track AI answers too. Seven tools, one problem: when a buyer asks an AI what to use, does it say your name?
I'm not just watching this from the outside. I recently added an llms.txt file and "Ask AI" links to Junior, for the same reason.
The tools have the same advice.
Read the launches side by side and they agree. AI answers come from listicles, comparisons, Reddit and YouTube. So the work is getting onto those pages, not tweaking your homepage. Most of these tools find the gaps. Some write and publish the fixes.
Marketing tools are moving into the agent.
Articos and Manifold are MCP servers. LaunchReel is a Claude Code plugin. Lovable added growth tools where you build. The marketing dashboard is turning into a question you ask your agent.
If you sell to these teams
Marketing tool founders know better than anyone that a launch is only the start. The week after is when they're working hardest on growth.
That's why I built Junior (not affiliated with Product Hunt). Every launch comes with the makers behind it, so you can talk to the person who built it.
